I would like to relate my Festiva Resorts sales person experience with any one out there whom may be considering selling timeshare for Festiva (Frontline sales). Came in for a timeshare appt and was told we did not qualify because we were staying with my mother. The lady who set it up already knew that and never told us we did not qualify. When we complained about sitting there a whole hour and having my mom watch the kids they said well we are sorry but that's just the way it is. They even called to confirm the interview that morning. Festiva took over our Escape timeshare. They handed our loan over to another one of their companies called Zelandia Capital. Zelandia Capital tried present themselves as a independent loan company. However we later found out this is Festive trying to hind their name. Zelandia Capital offered what was called a deed in lieu to release us of our timeshare. We paid them over $300 to be released. Our timeshare week is deeded. They say we must use their points system 'Escapes Travel Choices" anyway and demand back payment for a couple years dues. Otherwise we will not get our week next year. Also demand prepayment of maintenance fees for next year which are not even determined yet. We are about ready to walk away from our investment but this is probably what they want... to get a... I have been an owner for 10 years no problem. Festiva bought my home resort a couple years ago. They cut my points total from 72,000 to 41,000. Called them about it and was told they re evaluated my account and I am only eligible for the lower amount. Basically told me to pound sand. I have contract stating 72,000. We just checked into Peppertree Ocean club. It is so disgusting in this room I can't even sit on the couch the cabinets are falling apart the walls are falling apart!!! Read more

We bought into Festivia at Branson, Missouri for their Stormy Point location. Within a year we had to upgrade for approx $2000 to avoid having a deeded week and to start using a point system. All was well for awhile, until they sold Stormy Point! We were assured that we would ALWAYS be able to stay there since it was where we bought in. I recently called member services to make a reservation for November using exchange fee and there is no available option at all for the days Im going. No options what so ever.
