I was called and offered a" special 3 day 2 night vacation in
Myrtle Beach". I was in the car driving to Ohio when I received the call. I explained to the caller I was driving but they persisted in getting my credit card # and setting a date( 2-16,17,18) My partner was hearing the conversation and when she realized the dates they were setting she advised me that we had a prior commitment. They then offered (2/9,10,11). During the conversation, they advised if I would refer anyone I would get an additional $20 discount. To further complicate the conversation two different agents were on the phone. (possibly training) Both asking questions, and asking to speak to my partner since I was driving. She advised them she couldn't speak for me, but did give them our friends names & phone #. The agents were laughing and asking the same questions repeatedly. I was told I would receive an email with all the details within 24 hrs. I kept telling them I could not drive and continue with this process. I then advised the agent " I am not interested just cancel, I am not interested" He stated he already ran my card and hung up on me. This all took place on Friday 1/27/12. I did not receive and email and assumed he had cancelled. I then received an email Wed 2/1 stating I would receive
confirmation and info with 72 hrs. I tried to contact them and got NO return phone call. I received another email Thurs 2/2 with the supposed details. I did get a call from another agent Marshall and explained what had transpired. He said he understood and assured me he would get things handled. He even advised the card had not been charged. I then advised I checked with my bank and it had in fact been charged". He agreed the whole thing was not handled properly and said he understood my mis-trust and assured me he would get the situation rectified/. He offered to reschedule another date and agreed 1 week of notice was not sufficient?. He called me back several times to assure me he was working on the situation!. He spoke to my partner in my absence and again assured her would handle the refund and that he understood the issues and we could deal directly with him, rather than the agents who had mishandled the original call". He offered her an opportunity to reschedule and she advised" I was so upset with the way everything had transpired that when he got the refund resolved we would then discuss the issue of rescheduling|. Several days passed and I made several attempts to call Marshall with no return call:. I finally reached Marshall Tues 2/7 and he advised he could not get a refund and if I didn't show up on 2/9 I would have additional charges on my card". I called again Wed 2/8 and asked to speak to his Superior and Marshall said he would have the owner call me. 128cfd5
