Festiva Resorts and Millenium Travel - Scam?
Jun 24, 2008
Festiva Resorts complaint
Festivea hyped seemingly useless "2 free airline tickets." from Millenium Travel and Promotions. Also "gas rebate" which we are still seeing if we can use. The travel has horrendious restrictions and requires an upfront $65 fee. Although we did not put out any money and were extremely suspicious we did travel to see a presentation by Festiva Resorts. The presentation was poor involving a "new" concept in time share that involved "points" that could be purchased. These points would allow vacations at about 25 resorts. We were not interested in the types of vacations offered so we cut it short and got our "gifts."

the travel does not seem to help us. Still working on the gas rebate.

My resort was recently bought out by Festiva. They are billing me for time I do not own, never return my phone calls and have turned the issue over to their "legal department".

Beware

I work for Festiva. I work in sales. And I am an honest good hearted person. What bombastic claims to say that no one in the company is honest. that is absurd and childish to say something like that. Yes there are problems. We are growing very quickly and we are working hard to compensate for some poor planning. Is there a mass conspiracy to rip you out of your money? Of course not. We're trying to provide nice, affordable vacations.

you guys are ridiculous. Festiva is no where near belly up and they are actually the fasted growing private timeshare company in the nation. Thats a fact jack.

To NB:

If you contact the Festiva Resorts Owner Services department, they will be willing to work with you to try to accommodate you for a different week. Just be sure to contact them far enough in advance.

Over 22 years ago our family bought into the Time Share Industry. In the beginning we dealt with honest and above board company owners. Just a half-dozen years or so ago we converted into a company that offered points. This first company (Equavest) ended up rolling into Festiva.

If there is an honest person with Festiva I'll give you $10.00.

Nothing but a bunch of slick talking snakes in the grass.

Should you ever come in contact with any Festiva representative you best run the other direction. Their entire program is a lie.

I think it's a shame that something good always has to be destroyed by greed.

My aunt just deeded over her timeshare to me at Blue Ridge Village. We have one red week during week 41 (October Peak Leaf seson). We will be out of town that week, and wondered if we will just loose our week? I don't trust calling them after everything I have read. I am thinking my aunt giving this to me, is going to be more of a hassle than a gift. I have read nothing but bad things about Festiva.

They are hyping this points deal, however they are very close to going belly up. They are in litagaion with their owners in numerous locations and with others all over the country.
